a picture on my phone
I have a picture on my phone
keep it hidden in a folder
with a password
it’s a secret
that nobody else should see
Just a picture of a thing
that I’ve never seen alive
I’m not sure if it exists
But I’ve seen it on my phone
an image of a concept
given color and extension
and intensity and form
But it’s a figure I can’t grasp
If the other knew
I’d kill myself
For shame is worse than guilt
and the burden of the things I’ve seen
will make me fill this folder
