I’m never here to stay

Haunted by the things I know

And things I don‘t, they taunt me

Flicking through the pages

I‘m too dull to understand

What anyone has ever meant

Letters which I never sent

For doing so would kill it all

The people whom I call my friends

I try to be the best I can

Tobacco can per day

A couple grams and gigabytes

I‘m never here to stay

And when I leave they‘ll miss me less

But see me all the more

In their mind, the face they‘ll find

Will lead them to my door
