let them fade

A child is being beaten 

as a country gets destroyed

its survivors are abandoned

on a street that no one cleans

It’s the government that failed

to pay the workers what they need

and denied them of assistance

When they’re hiding, but in love

They are forced to have more babies

still unsure of what to feed them

if the droughts are here to stay

the unspeakable might happen

whilst we drain the world of everything

to combat those in charge

let us pray they learn to read

not to prey on those in need

let them stray from those who lead

let them trade with other creeds

let them raid who stole the cheese

let them fade, who hold beliefs
